Hello and welcome to "Lords of Elenim" by Laurel A Rockefeller. Lords of Elenim is a three part science fiction book series. Heavily grounded in science, Lords of Elenim is an epic saga. In book one, "The Great Succession Crisis," we meet the democratically elected royal family from House Gurun. An oversight in the legal code rooted in ancient house blood feuds allows for female sovereign queens, but not for the daughters of female sovereigns to succeed their mothers to the throne. When Princess Anlei becomes the best candidate among Queen Isabelle's children to assume the throne after her, this fatal flaw creates the "Great Succession Crisis" of EE 6326.
Book two, "Ghosts of the Pasts" begins some two hundred yentars after the "resolution" of the crisis. It begins with mysterious outbreaks of violence plaguing Eleniman cities and slowly reveals the aweful consequences of the choices made in part one.
Book Three is called "The Lords of Elenim Return." In Book three, the now exiled heir to the throne struggles to survive on a hostile, alien planet. Pursued by his political enemies intent on returning him to Elenim for "trial" and execution, the young prince of Elenim struggles to remain free and survive until he is capable of returning home safely.
